MATERIALS

All of our pieces are made from polymer clay—a super lightweight, low-temperature fired material. We use brass wire and gold-filled or sterling silver findings for any metal pieces that touch your ears.

Our findings are nickel-free. Brass is an alloy made up of copper and zinc—which makes it suitable for those with nickel allergies.

Have extra sensitive ears?

Reach out—we’re always eager to work with new materials and happy to experiment with new findings for extra-special lobes. We can upgrade surgical steel posts to niobium for those with nickel allergies—just ask!

CARE

Treat your new pieces with care—clay won’t shatter, but can break under pressure.

Clay parts can be cleaned with soap and water—or a plain baby wipe. Our favorite way to clean metal components is with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste or a jewelry cleaning rag. Brass pieces will age, so expect natural darkening over time.

We recommend not leaving your jewelry in extreme heat (hot car, direct summer sun) for an extended period of time, as it may cause the clay to warp slightly.

If you have a metal post or wire that detaches from the clay, try cleaning both pieces with rubbing alcohol and use superglue to re-adhere. If that doesn’t do the trick, reach out and we’ll replace your pair, on us.
